The Jeffersons
We continue to be thankful and grateful to the Lord for being able to see and celebrate each year of marriage, which we do not take for granted. We were led to create this website to celebrate our 10 years of marriage, for which we continue to give God all the glory and honor! Our marriage, just like anyone else’s, is unique. We know that God brought us together at Palmer Theological Seminary some years prior to us getting married on June 18, 2011. Since then, we continue to strive to honor God first and foremost in our marriage. We pray that this site is a blessing to you and that God continues to get the glory!-Solomon and Jamila Jefferson

Scriptures
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
1 Peter 4:8 NIVLove is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
1 Cor 13:4-7 NLTTwo are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Eccl 4:9-12 NIVSubmit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her...

Our Wedding Prayer
Lord of Life,In your providence, you have bought us here today. We look to
you, God, as the Master of this ceremony, and with Solomon and
Jamila we celebrate the truth that our lives are a gift from you; we celebrate your promise that as we trust and obey you, we will
discover and experience the very best you, God, have to offer. And because Solomon and Jamila have followed you, Lord, we believe that you have brought them to this day of joyful commitment to each other. With Solomon and Jamila, we bow before you, Almighty God, for you are here at this very moment as this couple offer you their pledges and their praise, and you promise to walk hand-in-hand with them as they embark on this lifelong adventure of marriage.Heavenly Father, bless this time, and this couple; they are yours. We thank you for them and for your great goodness which follows us all the days of our lives. In Jesus' precious name, we pray,
Amen.Dear Solomon and Jamila,
